The Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology is an historical museum near Brisbane.

The Abbey Museum is a public museum almost unique in Australia. Its collections are derived from Britain’s first social history museum – the Abbey Folk Park. The Museum has won international acclaim for the quality of its displays and programs.

From Brisbane or Sunshine Coast by car

Bribie Island Road exit 152 off the Bruce Highway. Travel four kms towards Bribie Island and turn at Old Toorbul Point Road, take your first right and look for The Abbey. Note: Make sure your device is looking for “the Abbey Place Caboolture” NOT “Abbey Road” which is another Road in the district.


By public transport

Take the Brisbane to Nambour line to Caboolture railway station. Get on a Bribie Island Bus Lines bus to the Coles Express Service Station (immediately after Old Toorbul Point Road). There is a 5-10 minute walk via the service station to the Museum.
